Membership for the current season, which runs from the 1st April 2010 and ending on the 31st March 2011, is £24.00 for adults and £12.00 for juniors and OAPs. There is no joining fee or waiting list and there are no geographic limitations, all are welcome to join. The club has 7 stretches of river totalling approximately 4 miles of water on the Stour. Some of the stretches are adjacent to each other, but are named differently and entered from different points. The majority of fishing is coarse fishing, the major species being chub and roach, but there are also dace, gudgeon, perch, pike, eels and the occassional carp and tench. A good Stour chub would be 3 1/2lb and each year a few 1lb roach and perch are caught.Trout are present in a couple of stretches.  The water is fishable with the fly for April and May, when there is a small Mayfly hatch, but after that the weed growth makes it difficult. Whilst the majority of members are pleasure anglers, there is an active match section, fishing a total of 13 away matches and 17 home matches this year. The away matches are on a variety of match venues around the area like Napton, Harvington, Boddington, Bishops Bowl and Earlswood as well as other river venues at Hampton Lucy and Barford. A lot of work has been undertaken by members at our new Railway Cutting Lakes at Aston Magna and signifcantly more water is now fishable. We hope that these will be a real asset and once all of our work is complete will provide three excellent and varied fishieres; a junior pool, a mixed fishery pool and a carp/match pool with a disabled platform on at least one of the lakes. The Club's Membership Secretary, Rob Oakey, can be contacted on 01608 662639 and any other matters can be dealt with by the Chairman, Mike Wells, 01608 664026 / wellsms4@aol.com
