Shipston and South Warwickshire residents are enjoying an all-new vehicle to keep them on the move.  Community Links is a transport service that covers the whole of Stratford District, and the journey has just become a lot more modern with the arrival of a new vehicle.  The old vehicle had clocked up 125,000 miles in just four years of service, demonstrating the demand for the service.

Cllr Izzi Seccombe, Warwickshire County Council‘s Portfolio Holder for Adult Services, said:

―People can feel very iso-lated in their homes if they do not have access to transport. We will often take for granted our cars and mobility. A service like this can make a real difference to people‘s lives.

Most people use the scheme to go shopping, visit family and friends and attend social events.‖

The Community links vehicle operates in the area to the south of Stratford-upon-Avon, including Shipston, Quinton, Long Compton and surrounding villages on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays each week.

The Community Links vehi-cle is an MPV – people carrier – which has been converted to high standards of accessibility with many features to make the ride comfortable and safe.

If you‘re stuck for transport and you‘d like to register to use the service, get further information or a leaflet, please phone 01789 264491
